OSD Immersion Day 2 is about Implementation and Application. NFA continues to accelerate athlete self-discovery and feel by isolating the most common primary movement through variable drill repetition. This is done through drills that isolate movement with “all other things being constant” (ceteris paribus-Latin for controlling variables to determine whether a particular action is causing a failure or success of the whole). In the second half of Day 2 NFA’s small group setting with controlled, situational repetitions in live-fire scenarios and multi-tasking drills requiring discipline and awareness. These segments utilize guided self-discovery over significant teaching as the preferred coaching method. Player is engaged by the coach after each repetition to demonstrate situational awareness, grasp of assignment, and mastery of technique.
OSD Immersion Day 3 is about Competition and Evaluation. Completing the full scope of learned behavior with immediate feedback, total skill integration, and game-speed performance driven outcomes. This final Day 3 represents the actual assessment phase of what level of change penetration has been achieved by the coach. It is this final phase where the measurable results are fully realized and an athlete really begins to operate with improved self-confidence. A detailed evaluation will be provided at the conclusion of Day 3.
